If you drive in between South Congress and South Lamar as often as I do when you're in Austin, then I'm sure you've noticed this house on West Mary. They've been building it for a while and it usually enters car conversation with regard to the eccentric way that Austin's real estate works. This "castle" is more likely to be next to a house with a chicken coupe in the backyard and a VW van in the driveway than it is to have an appropriate amount of rolling acreage with which to shoot archery. That's just how Austin rolls. But, I did think it was exciting to find it mentioned on a blog I was visiting earlier, Carolina Eclectic Interior Design, with lots of pictures. Not only does this house have an entire website, but it looks awesome.
